Privacy Policy

Plain language. No lawyers needed.

Last updated: January 2025

The short version: we do not collect, store, upload, sell, or share any personal information. Your images never leave your device. There is nothing to opt out of, nothing to delete, and nothing to request.

What we don't collect

How we process your images

When you drop an image into Swift Image Resizer, your browser reads it into memory. All resizing, cropping, colour filling, and format conversion is done using the HTML5 Canvas API — an interface built into every modern browser specifically for manipulating images locally.

Nothing is transmitted over the network. Nothing is written to any server. When you click Download, your browser writes a new file directly to your Downloads folder using a blob: URL — a pointer to memory, not the internet.

When you close the tab, the image is gone from memory. There is no copy anywhere else.

Browser storage

Swift Image Resizer does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or cookies to store anything about you. Your settings are held in memory only for the duration of your visit and reset when you reload the page.

Your browser may cache the page's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files as part of normal browser caching — this is standard for every website and contains no personal information.

Third parties

The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or pixels under normal use except for the optional encoder CDN described above. There are no social media widgets, no embedded videos, no external comment systems.

Children's privacy

Because we collect no personal information at all, the site is safe for users of any age. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to protect against.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy — for example, if we add a feature that requires a network request — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and describe the change clearly. Given the architecture of the tool, we don't anticipate this happening.

Questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or if you'd like to verify a claim yourself, we've published step-by-step instructions on the Data Control page. You can also reach us via Contact Us.
