About Swift Image Resizer
A privacy-first image tool that just works.
Swift Image Resizer is a free online tool for resizing images directly in your browser. Your files never leave your device — no uploads, no accounts, no tracking.
Why we built this
Most online image tools ask you to upload your photos to their servers. That means your images — sometimes your ID, a family photo, a private document scan — travel across the internet and land on a computer you'll never see. Even the ones that claim to delete them afterwards can't prove it.
We wanted a resizer that behaves the way a desktop app does: open it, use it, done. No account, no email, no file leaving your machine. So we built one.
How it works
When you drop an image into the tool, your browser reads it into memory. When you click Download, your browser writes a new file to your disk. In between, all the resizing, cropping, colour filling, and format conversion happens using the HTML5 Canvas API — the same API your browser uses to display images on any webpage.
Nothing is sent over the network. You can verify this yourself in 30 seconds using your browser's DevTools.
What makes us different
- No upload. Images are processed entirely on your device.
- No signup. No email, no password, no account.
- No watermark. The output is clean.
- No limits. No daily caps, no premium tier, no paywall.
- No tracking. No analytics, no cookies, no fingerprinting.
- Works offline. Once the page loads, you can disconnect from the internet and it still works.
What you can do with it
- Resize images by exact pixels or by percentage.
- Maintain aspect ratio, or stretch to a specific target.
- Choose between Crop to fill (centered crop) or Fit with background (letterbox with a colour).
- Pick from 16 social media presets (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more).
- Output to JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, GIF or JPEG XL.
- Crop manually before resizing, with a draggable crop box.
- Process multiple images at once.
Who runs this
Swift Image Resizer is an independent project built by a small team of developers who care about privacy and hate watching useful tools get buried under ads and pop-ups. It is not funded by investors and it doesn't sell your data — because there is no data to sell.
Our philosophy
Privacy isn't a feature you toggle — it's the baseline. A tool that only respects your privacy when you dig through settings isn't really private. Our approach is simpler: if we can't see your data, we can't leak it, sell it, or lose it.
