Do I need an account to use the free plan?
No. The free plan is completely anonymous — no email, no account, no tracking. You only need an account if you want Pro, so we can tie your subscription to your identity and let you log in from any device.
What happens to my images when I use Swift Image Resizer?
They never leave your device. All resizing happens directly in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. We don't have a server that receives images — even for Pro users.
Why do I need to sign in before upgrading?
Your Pro subscription needs to be attached to an account so you can access it from any device. We use your email as the identity — no names, no addresses, nothing else. When you pay, we mark your account as Pro in our database.
What plan periods are available?
Pro comes in 1 month ($5), 3 months ($12), 6 months ($18), and 1 year ($33). All periods give you the same features, but longer plans cost less per month — you save $3 on 3 months, $12 on 6 months, and $27 on a full year compared to paying monthly. There's no auto-renewal or subscription — you pay for a fixed period, and we email you a reminder before it ends.
What does "5 images per batch" mean on Free?
You can add up to 5 images at once in a single session. Download what you have, then start a new batch with 5 more. Pro removes this limit entirely — drag in 50 images at once if you want.
What is "target file size" and why is 500 KB the Free limit?
Target file size lets you say "compress this image to under 200 KB" and the system automatically finds the best quality that fits. Free users can compress down to 500 KB — Pro users can go down to 10 KB. Small targets are typically needed for job applications, government forms, and strict website limits — exactly the users who benefit most from Pro.
How do I pay?
Click "Get Pro" and you'll be taken to a secure card checkout powered by Lemon Squeezy. Your Pro access activates automatically on your account within about a minute of payment — no email needed.
What happens when my Pro period ends?
You keep Pro until the last day of your paid period. There's no auto-renewal — when it ends, your account reverts to Free and you can purchase another period any time.
